Mary Tudor (1553-1558). Mary was a model of kindness to the poor people of England before and after she became Queen and would frequently go among them, sometimes even wearing the same clothes as her attendants so that she would not draw attention to herself, and distribute money.

This is the original artwork for illustration on p11 of Look and Learn issue no 138 (5 September 1964).
