This is the unique original Pen & Ink Wash by Cecil Doughty.

Mary Queen of Scots arrives to visit her sick husband, Lord Darnley, in Edinburgh, February 1567. Only a few hours later the body of Lord Darnley and his valet would be found strangled in a nearby orchard. Suspicion fell on the Earl of Bothwell, and upon Mary herself.

This is the original artwork from Look and Learn, no. 152, 12th December 1964. Re-printed in Look and Learn, no. 513, 13th November 1971.
