Galaxy Science Fiction was an American digest-size science fiction magazine, published in Boston from 1950 to 1980. It was founded by a French-Italian company, World Editions, which was looking to break into the American market. World Editions hired as editor H. L. Gold, who rapidly made Galaxy the leading science fiction magazine of its time, focusing on stories about social issues rather than technology.

Gold, 'The Birth of the Space Station', Is Artificial Life Possible?' and 'Living in a Space Station' by Willy Ley, 'Tangle Hold' by F. L. Wallace, 'Mind Alone' by J. McIntosh, 'The Touch of Your Hand' by Theodore Sturgeon. Also features writing by; James McConnell, Clifford D. Simak, Robert Sheckley, Algis Budrys, Poul Anderson, Kurt Vonnegut Jnr, Murray Leinster, Winston Marks, Theodore R. Cogswell, Charles V. deVet, Alan E. Nourse and many more.
