Galaxy Science Fiction was an American digest-size science fiction magazine, published in Boston from 1950 to 1980. It was founded by a French-Italian company, World Editions, which was looking to break into the American market. World Editions hired as editor H. L. Gold, who rapidly made Galaxy the leading science fiction magazine of its time, focusing on stories about social issues rather than technology.

Featuring; 'Instalment Plan' by Clifford D. Simak, 'The City of Force' by Daniel F. Goulaye, 'No Place For Crime' by J. T. McIntosh, 'The Malted Milk Monster' by William Tenn, 'The Accident That Didn't Happen' by Willy Ley and 'Prospector's Special' by Robert Sheckley. Also features writing by; Frederik Pohl, J. F. Bone, Charles A. Stearn, Ned Lang, Gordon R. Dickson, Avram Davidson, Laura Goforth, Larry M. Harris, Robert Silverberg, Christopher Grimm, John Brunner, George O. Smith & A. J. Offutt.

Including a fantastic Christmas themed cover (December issue) by Ed 'EMSH' Emshwiller who won several Hugo Awards for his work.
