This is the unique original Gouache painting by Janet & Anne Grahame Johnstone.

Printed on page 30 of Roger Lancelyn Green's book 'Folk Tales of The World' published by Purnell in 1966, this painting by Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone demonstrates the twin's artistic aptitude. Passing the paintings between them, Janet specialised in painting animals whilst Anne Grahame studied and specialised in costume.

This painting illustrated a Tibetan folk tale about two neighbours Tsi-King and Cham-Ba. Tsi-King was very rich whilst Cham-Ba was poor. Although Cham-Ba was physically very poor, he was actually richer as he had a heart of gold and was always ready to perform acts of kindness.
